I find myself repeating the same old story...

It's been getting kinda bored here in this space. I've been propagating the same stuff over and over again in my posts, and I am still working the same shifts, doing the same old grub, but meeting with a lot of differnet people.

I've been privileged enough to meet up with an auntie who's currently stuck in a rented apartment, recovering from cancer. Well, not to exactly say recovering, but she's in the midst of her Chemo Treatment at a local hospital.

Sometimes, when you're down and out in life, the Big Man up there throws you a bone and keeps you in perspective of your life's purpose.

People out there are dying. Literally.

It's sometimes our own doing that we have not got the time to stop and think about this. Life is actually very short. One miss cue of the steering, and you could be gone. One wrong decision to sit in the wrong car at the wrong time, and you're dead. Or death could creep up on you like cancer. It could be within you without you noticing anything.

And we are so busy with life sometimes that we have forgotten to live. Contradictory? No at all.

We make ourselves rush from place to place in order to get more business, gain more commission, get ourselves recognised as the top dog in the group, to chase after what we think is our life's goal. And then, like me, you meet up with a cancer patient who's life hangs on a thread, not by her own doing, not by her own choice, but she faces it anyway, because she has to. Do you think she was prepared for this? Did she plan to get cancer like that? Or do you think that she's been pre-warned about this? That God one time did say, "Oh, you... You shall work the hardest possible for your keep and then at the age of 45, you will contract a serious disease which will probably take your life."???

And we can only stop to think, what are we doing wasting our life away only for something like cancer to come up to us and rob us from it all?

Think for yourself.

As for me, I'm learning to say no to certain things. Just because I need some time to recollect myself, and do the things that I want to do.

I have just learnt about the freedom of choice. Sometimes, we have been cheated to think that everything in life is done because we don't have a choice. Some choices that we make, we make because we think that that's the only way to go. Well, it so happens that every choice you make is actually YOUR OWN choice. You can't blame others for it, and certainly circumstances don't force you to choose. You choose because you think that there's no better way, and that's the best compromise. [Take note of the word 'COMPROMISE']

So, it's your choice how you want to live your life. Don't go saying to your friends that God forced you into this or that. You can always say 'No'...
